세계 한인 호텔 협회(OKHA)신,구회장 이,취임식 및 정기 총회 개최

세계 한인 호텔 협회 정기총회 및 회장 이,취임식이 2023년 10월13일 인더스트리 힐스의 퍼시픽팜스 리조트에서 80여명의 회원이 참석한 가운데 성대하게 개최되었다.

협회를 조직하고 5년간 협회를 이끌던 정영삼(미국)회장이 이임하고 신임 회장으로 김현태(일본)수석 부회장이 제4대 회장으로 취임하므로 명실공히 세계한인 호텔 협회로의 조직을 갖추게 되었다.

이날 행사는 코로나로 미뤄졌던 정기총회로 일본,인도네시아,헝가리,캐나다,미국 동부를 비롯한 미국 전 지역에서 참가한 회원들이 오전부터 제2회 회장배 골프 토너먼트를 마친후 이루어졌다.

차대성 사무총장의 사회로 진행된 회의는 정관개정 및 신,구회장 이,취임식에 이어 협회기 인수 임원진 소개등의 순서로 진행되었다.

정영삼 회장은 이임인사를 통해 “6년반전인 2017년 두바이에서 처음 발족해 세계한인호텔 협회가 처음 태동 되었고 이날을 시작으로 전세계적으로 활동하는 한인소유 1500여개 호텔 관련 회사와 3천여개의 호텔을 소유한 회원사들이 참여 하기 시작했다.”고 말하고 “한국의 호텔운영오너들도 회원사로 참가하겠다는 의사를 밝혀와 앞으로는 더욱 성장하는 협회가 될 것으로 기대하고 회원간에 자주 소통하고 정보를 공유해 앞으로는 한인 호텔이 대형 프렌차이즈 호텔로 발전하기를 바란다”고 말했다.”

이어 정기 총회에서의 인준으로 새로 취임한 심임 김현태 회장은 “중차대한 임무를 맡겨주신 회원들의 성원에 보답하기 위해 보다 활력 있고 발전하는 협회가 되도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

이날 행사에는 CBB뱅크 제임스 홍 행장을 비롯한 외부 인사들이 참석했고 경상남도 투자경제 진흥원이 협회와 업무 협약을 체결하고 경상남도 투자 설명회도 함께 개최되었다.

The 5th World Korean Hotel Association (OKHA) Inauguration Ceremony and Regular Meeting

The regular meeting and the inauguration ceremony of Chairman Lee for the World Korean Hotel Association were grandly held on October 13, 2023, with the participation of over 80 members at the Pacific Palms Resort in Industry Hills.

The association was organized and led by Chairman Jung Young-sam (USA) for five years, and the newly appointed chairman, Kim Hyun-tae (Japan) as the 4th chairman, so the organization has truly established itself as the World Korean Hotel Association.

The event, which had been postponed due to COVID-19, was attended by members from various regions including Japan, Indonesia, Hungary, Canada, and the eastern United States, and it took place after the 2nd Chairman’s Cup golf tournament in the morning.

The meeting, led by Secretary-General Cha Dae-sung, proceeded with articles of association amendments, the inauguration ceremony of Chairman Lee and Chairman Jung, and the introduction of executive members.

Chairman Jung Young-sam, in his farewell speech, stated, “Six and a half years ago, in 2017, we first founded the World Korean Hotel Association in Dubai, and since then, Korean-owned companies with over 1,500 hotels worldwide and more than 3,000 member companies have joined, making it a global organization.” He added, “Korean hotel owners in South Korea have also expressed their intention to join as member companies, and I hope the association will continue to grow and become a larger franchise hotel, with members communicating and sharing information.”

Following the approval at the regular meeting, newly inaugurated Chairman Kim Hyun-tae stated, “I will do my best to make the association more vibrant and progressive to repay the support of the members who have entrusted me with this important mission.”

External figures, including CBB Bank’s President James Hong, attended the event, and the Gyeongsangnam-do Investment and Business Promotion Agency signed a business agreement with the association and held an investment briefing on Gyeongsangnam-do.”
